I don't think that's a good idea. I'll maybe pull mine out to see if it's got damp or something.

I was thinking more along the lanes of taking mine out and plugging in the bricked unit just for the optics system so it doesn't go silly with a missing unit.
Bricked still powers up, there is just no communication with it due to missing driver.

I thought thats where you were heading with the offer, but I don't want you pulling a working car apart to send me bits mate.

Be different if we were next door but its a little more troublesome with distance.
