I ran them on my 8 for a while Ainars they were fine. Grip ok both wet and dry lasted ok too, don't remember miles but for the money they are a good choice. I found with part worns if they'd started wearing say on the outside edge they would carry on wearing regardless to toe settings.

Obviously results can be different in different tyre sizes and different cars but on this video it shows wet handling and braking very bad for Accelera. 73m braking distance vs 46m on Michelin, that's madness

I must say I’ve felt less confident in my acceleras in the wet of late...

Accelera tyred car would still be doing 31-34MPH as it passed the point where the Michelin tyred car stopped.

I guess 73m in wet is not that bad, according to highway code stopping distance from 60 mph is 73 meters in normal circumstances and could be double that in wet. So it's not that much about Accelera being bad but more about how impressive Michelin and some other tyres are.

But then again Highway Code was probably written 50 years ago, tyres have improved since then but Code was never updated

We don't all drive like we are on a F1 track.
I found the Acceleras comfortable and very grippy, even in the wet. Did some hard roundabout acceleration in the D3 when I fitted them.
They are currently on the 4.2TDI that son Craig uses for work and he is not light footed by any means.

You're far more likely to have to do an emergency stop on the road than on the track. Additionally, the deceleration force of a D4 is significantly higher than its acceleration.

This is why the "I don't drive like I'm on a track" argument is fundamentally flawed. Driving on the road is much more unpredictable, and the margins when you overstep the limit are considerably smaller.

I was really impressed with them when I had them fitted and for a few months afterwards. In all conditions, all over the place in the UK and in France towing etc. But the last month or so I’ve found the front grip in the wet to be poor and found myself aqua planing on the M’way. All wear is even and tread still good.
