I've not been on here for a while (so many posts to go though) as i've been a little busy with one thing and another you know how it gets.
Anyway a couple of pics of my new van, i know there were a couple of interested parties when i mentioned it a while ago.

It's a work in progress obviously, i've stripped out most the bits from inside i don't need and fixed a few niggles it had, but there are a few more to do.

Long time no see Dezzy
Brilliant, can't wait for the project to start +++

Isn't a bit to small?? I thought you will go for one of these because of extra room

What's your first move??

You're right Marcin i was after one like your photo but after a bit of looking most have a window from the cab to the back and 300k on them, the one i have has a sliding door and only 95k on the clock. The size difference is not that much really, mostly width at head height, same height and length. It should do for what i need.

Typical Sprinter

I have stripped out and given it a good clean, fixed a leaky roof, rear sliding door hinge from TPS as it's shared with one of the VW vans and the radio. The rear lift dosn't work via electric so i'll have a look at that next, had it working via the backup hand pump ok.

That sound interesting Neil. But i'll end up with holes all over the van if you have the lights. But can give you a steer in the right direction to the suppliers of most the kit.

I haven't any interior pics at the mo, don't know why just haven't taken any yet, although i have taken some stuff out now.

The lights will be staying there as there are holes under them. All the blues have been disconnected and the 2 from the front grill removed all together. In the light bars are white lights again and indicator repeaters and stop lamps in the rear.

All emergancy and the health authority signs have been removed and it's only ambulance that remain.

If you buy an american RV does it have the big armchairs ripped out and replaced with van seats?

Here's a look at the inside of a Sprinter converted for relaxing travel.

Is that one of those ambulances which had the V8 in there?
I thought I heard somewhere about the old V8 ambulances.
