Rear torsen on A8 D2
 

Hi, this is my old project of rear torsen at D2. Use a V8 for donor with little modification to make the swap.
The car make less understear and more balance at handling.

Next project was to make A8 -> S8, but is for other topic's.

What's with the bearings and the rag?

What you maching down and why?

So the D2 rear diff is not LSD?
I thought it would be.

Not really, centre diff is torsen and rear and front are open diffs with EDL(electronic diff lock) as part of ABS or ESP where it applies brakes to the spinning wheel.

After manual transmission, this is my best mod.
Now thincking about on 3rd torsen (at front).
About bearing's is have differance at V8 diff and 01R (A8) differential. At V8 is bigger and need machine grind to make fit in at 01R diff.

....." mods done: Manual gearbox, Recaro seats, RNS-E, Rear torsen, S8 mod engine, S8 suspension"....

Just a bit of minor tinkering then! :D
