Standard D2s are just over 5 metres long. ;) Can cause arguments with certain ferry operators as 5M is a common threshold for basic car fares.

The long wheel base should probably be called a longer wheel base, since there's not really a lot in it. About 130mm (~5 inches) longer I believe. Or, to put it relatively, an increase in length of just 2.5%.
