WOW, just WOW! :mexicanwave:
The brakes work. It feels like a normal(ish) car to drive and apply the brakes.
Not the usual spongy feel I'd got used to. :ROFL:

It was only after I'd been out in it a few times that I realised I was braking without needing to think about it, getting a firm pedal and the car was slowing down in a normal way without excessive effort.
I'd got so used to the difference between my Volvo and Audi brakes that it took me some time to cotton on to the fact that they're now very similar in feel and performance.

Well done MJ. +++

I totally agree. I just tried mine this week and it's a very noticeable difference. It inspires a lot more confidence in the stock braking system.

The weird thing is that the brand new 22-plate Volvo XC40 we got this morning (courtesy car) has brakes that are even worse than the stock S8. :eek:
I drove it back home and thought, there's a bit of long spongy travel on this pedal before it bites. SWMBO then went out (hairdresser!) and when she came back, first time driving it, the first thing she said was - good job I'm driving carefully, the brakes are crap! :tuttut:

I'd be interested to hear what MJ herself thinks, she drove my S8 down to Devon late on Thursday evening, though maybe didn't need to use the brakes much.... :rolleyes:
