Flat spot on rim

Hi all.

One of my rear wheels has a flat spot, without visible damage. Balances up but you can see it skipping along on the machine and is felt at certain speeds. The flat spot is small, 3 or 4mm. I’ve managed to buy a refurbed wheel that is arriving today, as mine had some kerb rash.

I’m wondering what to do with the wheel I’m replacing. I don’t like the idea of having them heated up and repaired, and it does have some kerb rash. So the economics of salvaging it seem poor, it being diamond cut etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Got this fitted yesterday. From ukwheel_com on eBay, highly recommend them.

Anyway, all is well in the world again, no annoying wobble. Just need to make that occasional table/hose reel now.
