If car is year 2000+ and has got electronic gas pedal the cruise control stalk can be easily retrofitted

Cam belt service done today, along with the water pump and others pulleys. I noticed the timing was out on the old belt so I'm guessing a cam locking bar wasn't used previously. SHMBO now wants a smaller car, so looks like this A4 will be for sale in the new year. Shame really, mechanically it's sound and low'ish miles at 123k.
