MoT Time Again

After only covering 1400miles this year (part of which was the return from the D2 Doctors), the 8 passed with just an advisory on rear brake discs "worn, pitted or scored". Well, it had that at the 2019 test but not picked up at the 2020 test! Despite occasional EML lights from the sports cats and the accompanying "16814 - Catalyst System; Bank 1 and 2 P0430 - 35-00 - Efficiency Below Threshold" VCDS warnings, (Cleared before test:) ), it passed the emissions test with flying colours +++

So, all good to put some miles on it this year - I hope.

Edit: And the main beam LEDs replacements for the H7s didnt cause any comment either.

507 miles between MOTs for me, tested in September

I suspect mine will be about 12 miles :( Its 4 miles from the workshop at the moment which is all it did last year, and its another 4 miles from here to the MoT station.

A whopping 786 miles for me on the D2 A8
and that included a trip to the Haynes museum and back in early Feb last year and a trip to a very socially distanced "Simply Audi" car show sometime after lockdown 1 ended . . .

Surely the trip to Truro is the great majority of your miles this year David, giving that it's more than 500 miles from yours to MJ's, with only a few hundred covered apart from that trip?

I only did 87 miles in the 13 months between MOTs (though I'm cheating really, 'cos that's for my Coupe :) ) - which I think works out at about £5 per mile, which is just a bit mad, really....:hammer:

Herman covered 2447 miles in the 15 months between MOTs - which is probably more than Neil expected ;)

I know its been a funny old year and rather ground-hog day like, but I could have sworn the "Truro" trip you refer to was the June 2019 meet?

Quite right David, I should have said Exeter, which is only a 950 mile round trip ;)
