As it happens the power output of that is almost exactly the same as my little modern Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country, which has a 2L engine, 8-speed auto box and AWD; no slouch. :D
(Sod all load space though :-( )

...and sadly - even though it's significantly smaller - the V40 XC has a higher kerb weight than the 850 T5-R :( . That's progress for you

Safety progress I guess, my V40 is just over 1500Kg in running order. Probably similar bulk outside (though a foot shorter) but definitely smaller inside.
I don't know what a T-5R would weigh, though I'd expect it to maybe be a bit more "solid" than the Rover 800s that I had plenty of; they were mostly in the 1300-1400Kg range.
I don't think a PF D2 would be a lot more either, S8 around 1750Kg IIRC!

That looks dangerous. Am I the only one thinking why not just drive the Audi?!

Interesting.

But I also found interesting MJ's thread on there https://www.motorgeek.com/threads/a4...project.50014/

Especially like this signature bit

Racecar: noun - a hole in the road in to which money is poured
