Another back garden building site

I've started driveway building. My little digger i bought last year has already proved it's self to be awesome but only came with 1 bucket @ 300mm wide. So i've been busy making digger buckets and stuff. Because the internet is awesome and that there are other nutters out there i have the instructions and sales lit for my little digger from the 80's. From that i now have the sizes of the original buckets 200, 300 i have, 400 and 600 wide, they all follow the same shape and as i already have an original i templated it to card.
I modelled the buckets in Inventor and sent the plate parts to a local company that cut it all on the laser for me. Then just a matter of welding it all up and splashing a bit of primer on them.

Cad model

600 wide bucket primed and ready to go

Bucket fitted to the digger and getting dirty.

Something that wasn't available from new is a Ripper.

Now that took a bit more in the way welding as the main tine is 15mm thk and the rest 10mm a few hours and many multi runs later a test fit.

has been given a coat of primer since then and will take another.

Dezzy. You should be done under the Trades Descriptions. Nothing here about your back garden building site. Its all about your digger buckets.

Anyway. Here, specially for you, is a ferry we enjoyed on ExplorA8tion Ireland.

You got any pictures of that digger

I do have some digger pictures somewhere on my phone i'll dig them out. Attached is the sales lit for it and the brochure with some 1980's lady showing all the male builders that even she can do it. 1980's advertising eh. Although they should have used an 11 year old girl as my daughters are a dab had at digger driving and they love it. Anyone with young kids should have a small digger in the garden it's the rules. Last year we made a small ring out of hosepipe and hung it off the bucket on a string, pushed a stick in the ground and played hoop the stick? Not actually sure what the game is called, but it takes very controlled movements on the controls or your hoop ends up swinging all over the place.

Garden pictures to follow Nick, sorry for misleading you it was never my intention. I had to make buckets and ripper before i make a mess of the garden.

 I'm glad my ferry has been put to good use, carrying 8's i mean. I'm sure it's proven to be of use before. That fella that's stood on the deck in the background of the last photo, did he get you looking for the golden rivit?

Woo look at that. I've never seen 2 ships i've built together, together since they left the yard. Those 2 would never have been seen together as they were built 3 or 4 years apart. I don't have any photos of those in build either or i'd have posted them up so you could see what they look like under the skin so to speak.
