Normal behavior for passenger seat heating/ventilation

If I have all of the heated (or ventilated) seats switched on and park the car, switch off and leave the car for a little while (so it goes to sleep), when I turn the ignition back on all of the seats remember their previous heating/ventilation setting apart from the front passenger seat.

Can anyone confirm if their car behaves in the same way? I'm trying to decide if this is normal behavior or a control unit fault of some sort.

No fault codes are logged, but possibly unrelated one of the motors in the passenger seat has also failed!?

Thanks

In the front, I would expect it to be a function of the seat memory, as it has since the D2.

It should update the driver memory profile based on the key used to open the car in each case, but no idea how the passenger one interacts ?

Makes sense. On my D3 - assuming you used the same key both seats retained their previous setting.

In the D4 three of the seats function as expected, but the passenger one "resets" itself after 15 minutes or so. The dealer believe this is a feature, I am not so sure  I suspect the module has a memory issue, bad batery, broken connection, defective in some way!?

I plan on getting my hands on another D4 to test, but wondered if other owners maybe able to do the same? Would you mind having a play?

Hmmm a feature eh. Can they explain the theory behind said feature in why just passenger seat is different to all the others, what it's for and why it's designed into the platform?

will try to look at mine in a while and see what it does, have you got the seat memory switched to off on the passenger side

Thanks - to be honest I'm not sure and it is at the dealer at present - if my suspicions are correct it wont matter if it is switched on or off

had a play with this, did it with seat memory switched on and off, and it always remembers the last setting before switch off.

dont know where to start with this one or what module would be causing it

Many thanks for confirming my suspicions, I suspect it will be a seat control module...... will keep you posted
