Refrigerator?
 

I stumbled across this last night and I didn't know getting a refrigerator was a option with the D2 cars.......how cool is that!

I think I've heard mention of that before and IIRC it wasn't the best fridge, just a Peltier effect job.

One of the unicorn D2 options +++ (the others for me are leather dash and full electric rear seats) It is just a peltier cooler but it still keeps a can of pop cool. The D3 fridge is a proper compressor version so much more efficient, but also larger than the D2 version so not a simple retrofit.

Interesting....... How much larger is the D3 unit compared to the D2 unit? Has anyone tried to retro fit one in a D2 car?

I would very much like to try, but at >£400 if you can find one, its a rather expensive experiment.

This guy usually has one for a D3 for sale, and it's not as extortionate as UK sellers. They must have been popular in Russia lol

Don't have specifics on measurements, but the following images may give you an idea, as you can roughly calculate the dimensions from the door opening.
