Flew through her MOT.
After 10 years and 150k miles she sailed through the MOT with no advisories. I’ve got tonsillitis and it’s hot out, barely with it and sweating like England’s goalkeeper at another penalty shootout I didn’t expect there to be any issues,..
Still. A relief all the same. |
Well done, I was worried about this years' MOT due to my DPF and catalytic conversion unit being hollow and the new tighter rules, but the emissions were 0.37 and the default limit is1.5. They should have used Audi's limit of 0.5 printed on the VIN sticker under the bonnet but for some reason stated the emmissions plate was not legible on the test receipt but it was. When the DPF was working, the reading was 0.00 with 0.01 drift.

Cheers Snap. Always a relief when they pass, as they get older. Even when you know they will.

Congrats to you both
I'm not due until November, not sure about the 8 though. |
Cheers Ray. +++

Good news on the MOT front, my D3 is going in next Monday to have the exhaust fixed and then its MOT, although depending on timing it may end up being MOT'd first, failed and retested.

This is good news, my 3.0 TDI A4 will be due in about 2 months, my concern is its had the DPF gutted before I got it, and I had it mapped to 260bhp anyway, before the changes. Will see what happens... but I am feeling positive based on comments above

There is a small hole in one of the pipes, I have no idea how it got there as it is not caused by corrosion. I am hoping that the workshop will be able to weld over the hole, or they said they may need to apply a patch but that is not their preferred option. The hole has been there a while, and has not got any worse. |
