4.2 tdi near side lower air filter box removal..

Whilst trying to gain access to the power steering reservoir……
Once the upper of the box and air filter are removed, there are 2 obvious mounting bolts holding the lower section of the filter box.
Once these have been removed, it’s still not wanting to be removed?
Is there anything else holding it down ?
I can just about get the lid of the PS reservoir off, but, removal of the box would make life easier.
(Im chasing a leak on my power steering )
Cheers

This is on a 3.0tdi but I would imagine they are similar. 2x torx bolts on the outside

Thanks for reply.
It def feels like there’s something under there still holding it - I will remove the wheel arch cover and see.
My Ur is Tornado red…..

I like the red best ( white not bad either just like the red better ) they have become very hard to find , i know of a chap doing a full strip and refurb of a white one as he couldn't get one that he classed as good enough, it's stripped and gone to main land Europe for some type of specialist dip and coating before coming back to body guy to do any repairs and then paint then back to the outfit that stripped it for rebuild ,engine and box gone to for full refurb

Looking at the attached image of the air filter box setup, I think item 16 might be what's stopping you from removing the lower section, and as S81 mentioned, you might have to access that through the wheel arch.

Many thanks.
I plan to attack today.
The hose price (TPS) is £75 plus……
That ETKA picture is a help re the filter box.
Cheers

Quick update….

With the inner wheel arch removed, this allows access to the underside of the near side air box.
It’s only a screw and hose/circlip that need to be removed/loosened to allow removal of the lower section of the air box.
Access to the PS reservoir is now much better with the air box completely out of the way.

Thanks for everyone’s input.
