Fuel line part numbers
 

is 4D0201449D part number for the metal fuel line clamps in attached picture? Mine are so gone I can't really tell what shape they are...

Also with my fuel line banjo fittings being cancer, is 4D0201528AR a whole set of fuel lines for the whole car? I was thinking of replacing the fittings with new stainless steel ones but to find someone who can do it well or purchase tools to do it myself is probably too much..

Yes thats the number for the clamps - they're also used on the D3 so are still available although the last ones I had were on back order. Its worth ordering the plastic screws (4D0201834) for them as well as they don't always come off intact.

The fuel lines themselves are aluminum so are usually fine - its just the steel fittings at the back which get a bit crusty. The system only runs at 4 bar so actually its not a problem to just replace with standard banjo fittings and rubber fuel hose and either screw-clamps or crimps.

I ended up getting some 10mm ID fuel line hose, a bunch of quality stainless steel clamps and 2 threaded barb fittings that will thread into the new filter on one end, and attach to the fuel line on the other end, it will look tidy I hope.

I also got a new undertray from prestige and stainless steel bolts and 'speed nuts' as the vw parts catalog calls them..

Will post pictures if it works and the car doesn't set itself on fire.

I had the same issue with mine. Just cleaned it up with a Dremmel and painted it. Also replaced the clips. As MJ has already said, new plastic retainers will be needed. All of mine broke on removal.

My plan involves cutting away the banjo bolts and connecting the black aluminum pipes with rubber hoses to the filter with barb fittings that are appropriately threaded at either end and clamping it all down with quality stainless steel jubilee clips, I'm just waiting for all the bits to come in now...

job done. fuel tank side banjo fitting didn't need to be touched as its aluminum. engine side one was rotten as hell
