D2 bonnet release
 

Hi folks,

Is there a secondary way to get the bonnet open on a D2? Just want to check the oil, the bonnet release pulls all the way back but doesn't release the bonnet latch and push the white tab thing forward.

I have a crowbar and angle grinder on standby! :)

Pants. Has the cable retaining clip snapped at the handle? If not, can you get an assistant to pull the bonnet up while you pull the handle? That sometimes works if its stuck.

There is a backup way to open it but I don't post it on the open internet ;)

Thanks MJ! I did manage eventually to get it open with some pushing, puliing and jiggling so no need for secret naughty ways to do this. Not yet anyway!

You may wonder why I'm checking the oil so soon? Well I'm managed to pile a near 1000 miles on the car in two weeks I'm loving it so much! Not bad for someone who lives on an island that's 25 by 10 miles!
