275 tyres on ET35 Wheels

Looking at buying some new tyres for my S8.
Wheels are 19x9 ET35 RS6 C5 (genuine)

I was going to go with 255/45x19's.

There will be quite straight walled on 9" rims, so I'm considering if 275/40x19's will fit within the guards?

Has anyone tried 275's with a 35 offset on a D2? Got photos? Not concerned about wheel width, just the offset.

I've seen Nakata's thread with the ET29, which is giving me doubts as they look a little wide and look like they might hit the guards.
That's why I'd like to see photos if anyone's done it.

I think the 275s will be too big with that offset. I've got 20mm spacers with the stock 18" Avus and that's about as far out as possible without hitting the arches. Your 275s would be another 8mm further out which I think is pushing it too far.

255 40 is closer to stock on 19s btw. 255 45 19 is 36mm larger!

I have 255/45R19 on mine, I chose higher profile for softer ride and more ground clearance. I am not sure about wheels on top of my head but I think they were 8.5Jx19 ET45. Front tyres did rub where the bumper and wing joins over big bumps. I bent the wing lip inwards and the wing itself a bit outwards a so it is OK now most of the time.

Yeah, I was thinking 45 profile for better guard fill and ground clearance (ironic I know!).

I'm assuming that the scraping of the guard with the 255/45x19 is/was happening on full-lock.
So logically the increase (reduction!) in offset from 45 to 35 should improve the full-lock clearance on the tyre inner edge...

No rubbing on the inside on wheelarch liner, just on the bumper and wing where they both join and only when gong over bumps at speed. Steering would obviously be straight or near straight going at speed. Offset could be different, I cannot say for sure without taking wheel off.

255/45 /19 will going too big try 245/45/19 will seat good.
9J and ET35 with 275/40 is fine and will not have problem. Sorry not have pics with rs6 wheels and 275 tyres. But they too heavy for me.
