Every day's a school day!
Was having a browse through a VW Phaeton forum and came across a thread of tips and tricks for the Phaeton, specifically one that showed the sun visors can extend and pull out further to completely stop glare from the side windows.
Lo and behold, it works for the D3 too +++ http://i64.tinypic.com/f1lk50.jpg http://i68.tinypic.com/2wcml36.jpg http://i65.tinypic.com/2iqlg84.jpg |
Don't most cars already do that mate???
|
Neither of mine (D2 and Volvo) do; It will need an extra level of cleverness in the wiring to the makeup mirror light as well.

Weird, both my S4s did, and my Audi 80 cabriolet - I'll check the A4 when I am home at the weekend

What do you use a sun visor for? :Confused: Must have been an optional extra on cars for the Scottish market. :ROFL:
Actually its a beautiful day here today and one of the problems is that the sun is always low on the horizon whatever time of day in winter so a sun visor is a necessity.) Talking about hidden features that many may not be aware of, the mini sunvisor behind the rear view mirror on the D2 is often missed. Its neat and works! |

Woh. I never knew. Will come in handy when abroad!
Edit: Tried to use this feature driving down the M62 this morning. Turns out my D3 doesn’t have this! Gutted. |
My '06's visors don't extend like this.:(
