Climatronic size
 

So I am trying to retrofit a 2-din system in my fl a8.
But it seems like the climatronic unit are smaller on a 2-din dash vs. 1-din. Is this correct or is it just me who has installed the stereo cage wrong?:Confused:

Wouldn't be a shock if that was the case, certainly was when I did a similar conversion on my B6 S4.

On the S4 it was easy to trim down the single din unit to fit, hopefully the same for you also!!!!

Yes, double and single din climate control units are different. A8Parts should have plenty in stock. I'd suggest trying to get one for the correct model year if possible because iirc they have different codings.

Oh, okey. Well I trimmed it down to a fit on the sides, but of course if there is a depth difference then I would have to get one.
