removing ancient protective trim
Hi all,
I was quite pleased when I bought my A8 to find the original factory protective film (blue stuff) on the metal trim parts of the sill kick plates - hence, no scratches. Now, though, I've tried removing it but it's damn near impossible to do without just pulling off tiny pieces at a time. Any suggestions? |
try heating it gently with a hairdryer then pulling it off slowly as it cools +++

If the SO's Hair Dryer doesn't work you can use " Label-Off "
I use it for removing decals/badges etc etc.... works like a charm.... http://www.homecrafts.co.uk/products...pray_LO200.htm |
thanks, will have a go.

Did the first one today with a heat gun and scraper - took a few goes to figure out how much heat but worked a charm. Now just need to remove the remaining goo and give it a good clean before re-installing.
