Keyless handles again !

So I have decided to bite the bullet and change all my door handles to get the keyless working again.

I have just changes a door lock so I am quite happy with how to fit the door handles but I cant find any info on how to change the electronic handle / switch on the boot lid.

Can anyone help with instuctions ?

Thanks

Seek and thou shalt find. . . lots of PDF's !!

In the Common Faults section there is a tech dump which has all of the servicing and repair PDFs for D3's Link Below -

I would imagine it will be in "General body repairs - exterior"

Hi Simon,

I don't have first hand experience removing anything on the boot, but I wondered if Del's rear camera install may help...

Many thanks. That's alot of info there. I have found the handles and will trawl through it to find the boot handle.

Well i purchaced 4 used handles from our forum sponsors and as expected got great service and they were delivered the next morning.

I have had a little opp so cant work for a few weeks so fitted the drivers handle today. So i have keyless on the driver's door again. 1 down 3 to go. Interesting that on mine only one handle has ever worked properly opening when you put your hand near and 3 you had to lift the handle twice. For the first year i thought it was tbe good one that was faulty 😶

Unfortunately the handles are more silver and my car is more grey so they arent a perfect match but it doesn't look too bad. I dont think most people will notice it but it will probably drive me mad.

Well i did the rear drivers side hamdle this morning. Its a little trickier than the frints as its behind the window rails but with a little fiddling i managed to unplug and undo the rod retainer through the hole front outside whilst lifting the handle, this saves removing the window and window surround.

The second handle even though a little harder than the front took 45 minutes to fit and finish
