This is a weird feeling......

The Q7 left this morning, and I have a deposit down on the S5, which means where I normally have umpteen cars to choose from and then need to move some on, I seem to have dried up and now me and the missus are sharing....

So I guess I'm shopping for a runaround.

I've got so say my/Olis' old D3 was tempting for a wee while.

But, it might need to be the S4 cab itch gets scratched for summer.

We'll see. Just need a 5k run around, a little bit interesting. Fuel/Tax doesn't matter. not really looking older than B6/C6/D3. Sport/fast over practical and spacious.

If you spot anything, feel free to share.... +++

A6 Allroad 3.0 TDI? £5k just about gets you into a C6 but you won't find one with less than 100,000 miles for that. Interesting car nonetheless, it's on my list to own.

Hmmm. Interesting.

I had a C6 with air suspension once....

It combined the lower quality interior of the A6, with the wobbly air suspension of the D3...... It was super, ridiculously comfortable, but not a car I wanted to own again.

That said, an avant could be good for chucking my mountain bike in......

Good God, don't get the auto - it's bloody awful. You could brew a tea in the time the gearbox takes to change between gears. Manual tranny all the way in an Abarth 500.

When I saw a reply from Dezzy, I was picturing a fire engine, or a tank, or maybe something from the 60's. Or possibly, all 3. But didn't see an Abarth coming.

Very cute - I sat in one at a motorshow somewhere and the instrument cluster was so cool. Thats all I remember, so I guess the rest was a bit average....

But where on earth is the gear shift....

And its a fiat. #gameover.

I had seriously mulled the S1 for a short while...... which is both and Audi, and Quattro and way more where I'd like to be but a few too many ££ for a throw away summer car..

I didn't clock it was an auto. I mean who would have one of those you'd need to be a right idiot to have anything other than manual everyone knows that. Only old grannies have Autos.

Oh and having an Abarth is a bit like an Alfa, it's something all petrol heads need to own at some point.

That's what I got a month ago as my daily driver. £4.9k with 122k miles and full Audi service history. Nice spec and a lovely ride. I don't regret it one bit.
However, it can take a while to find one with a decent spec and colour combo.

I appreciate that we've all seen an Allroad but here are some pics of mine....
