Not 100% sure, but that's usually a power blip.

when you went to reset it, it didnt default to the beginning of its date range perhaps?

only thing i did just before was open the boot, im i was thinking it looks like battery problems, but my battery was tested as good a few weeks ago, is it possible for a battery to have intermittent problem? im still getting the odd shutdown warning though its much improved since i took the battery meter back of of the MMi, and it now comes back almost immediately.

a good thought but no, the time was 15:47 but the display said 17:30ish, and i saw the 2004 before i touched it, and i only changed it a few weeks ago to do the time difference from france to Uk and i set the time without the date changing.

You missed the chance to suggest he checked his flux capacitor.....

Marty McFly: Wait a minute, Doc. Ah... Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?
Dr. Emmett Brown: The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style

do you mean
Audi Fluxen capacitor Part No 5N0 827 586

i think you need to change your gateway for that retrofit

There is are two TSBs to cover this on ELSA.
I can't look now, but one is caused by a software problem when the ignition is switched off while the sidelights are on.
The other is caused by a software problem after updating to 5570 and the timeout for radio clock needs increasing to 20 minutes in adaptations (this only affects radio clock, not quartz clock.)
