Acceleration Times, who's up for it?

Ok Chaps, I finally got round to doing a couple of 0-60 runs in the car today as I was curious to see how she's holding up now there is 65000 miles gone by.

I wanted to see how she compared to the listed times on the wiki.

I did two back to back runs on a flat road, one in either direction

Conditions outside was dry with an air temp of 15 Celsius

Inside there was a full size spare in the boot, 3/4 of a tank of fuel, a bottle of Rioja and 8 bottles of Ale and my 14.5 stone lump to carry.

Details matter :D

Here's what I got below.

Interestingly the 0-100km/h is 1.1s off book speed, which is quite a bit IMO.

So

You forgot to mention the laptop too that easily add's 1s to the 0-60 times

Good figures though, I'd hate to see mine at the moment as I need a map for these A5 injectors that I fitted, plus I'm a bit more weight so might not put as much fuel in the tank :p

Indeed and it's a big 17 mbp so not the lightest

You should do it anyway then you'll have a base line to see if remap made any difference.

When I get chance I'll put the figures on here, you don't have anything to worry about with me beating your scores that's for sure

Not bothered by that, be interesting to see how close or far everyone is to the wiki times.

I'll give it a go at the weekend. Del, have you logged your data in to Excel to analyse and compare runs?

Best I wait for the tyres to wear further first... (to reduce the rolling circumference)

And maybe also fit a set of 17"s with low profile tyres :)

I have not got full version of VCDS so I never tested it with VCDS but with Torque on Android I was getting around the same time like you to 60mph on the PF D2 S8 which has book value 6.8s

I didn't know VCDS could do this!

I'll steer the ol' yacht towards my private airfield ASAP to see how she fairs.

I tried Matt but I'm a thicko when it comes to excel and charts. I tried to import the data from the log but it puts empty rows between data and I can't think of a way to clean it up without doing it manually.

So I gave up :(

What I would like to do is log the run alongside things like maf readings and fuel rail pressure, ignition advance, lambda values etc but I can't do it as VCDS has no label files for the s8 engine
