Drivers window works, sometimes.....
 

I think it's getting stuck in the channel on the inner "rubber" guide. Has this happened to anyone else and what's the cure please

Is it stopping completely, or just going slow and squeaking? If the latter, you could try spraying the window and the channels (if you can access them) with some silicone lubricant to free it up.

When it works it's fine although you can hear a quiet scraping sound. But it only works when it feels like it. It can work for 2 or 3 days then nothing or as it did the other day went down and didn't go back up until several hours later

Sounds like more than just a lube problem if its scraping. You may need to remove the door card and door subframe to get it sorted. There's good guidance in the tech docs on this forum.
