SOLD : Very rare and unique Audi S8 D3 V10
Hi guys
Well having scratched that V10, big barge itch, I am now offering up my S8 for sale. 1 previous owner from new (I am second) Part service history (lost service book by previous owner) but will collate all documents from Audi and Nirro services prior to sale to try and complete history. Highly spec'd 112k miles 2008 facelift model MOT (Aug 2017) Special order Audi Suzuka Grey Pearl Two-tone extended leather Tilt n slide electric sunroof B&O 1000w 14 speaker system Soft Close doors One touch boot Coming home lights Bi-xenon Audi MMI with digital freeview TV (works on the move) Reverse camera Dual climate... The interior is mint, with a beautiful combination of alcantara, carbon fibre and brushed aluminium, needs to be seen and sat in!! In my possession the car has had the inlet manifold changed due to broken flaps, which was found during an oil leak coming from a cooler pipe, luckily caught in time! Both this and the seal were done using genuine parts (£3500) The car has been painted due to stone chips on the front and front wings to be the exterior to match the mint interior. SUSPENSION - £5500 Original factory air suspension had a leak from one of the struts, and due to the age a mileage I decided to scrap the lot and go for aftermarket air suspension, supplied and fitted by Car Audio Security in March 2017 This comprises of airrex struts and airlift management, the comfort and drive is 10x better than it was on factory suspension. All controlled by an app on my phone. EXHAUST - £600 Mid silencer removed and replaced with straight pipes to release some of the V10, very subtle, a little too subtle still in my opinion but opens up on throttle. Car was remapped at the same time for better throttle response in S mode. EXTERIOR - £850 Front grill replaced with Genuine W12 Grill and number plate blank, which ties in nicely with the gloss black theme, completing the look with a Maxtor splitter WHEELS - £1800 Genuine BBS RX 2 piece wheels (mint condition) 10.5 x 21" ET40 Toyo Proxes 285/30/21 Car needs to be seen to be appreciated, the chrome works so well with the Suzuka, adds a high level of elegance with the gloss black touches, the interior is such a nice place to be, front and back, the amount of room and comfort is ridiculous!! I've owned the car since December, and those who know me, know that I've changed cars (S/RS) on a regular basis. I'm not going to say I've bought a house, need the cash blah blah My reason is I'm bored, again, and there's only so many wheels I can change before I get bored!! £16500 |
Hopefully these work (damn you Photobucket!!!)

Stunning, and sounds from the description there's much more to it than meets the eye, good luck with the sale
If anything, I'd change the order of your photos. After several interior pics, of what could have been any FL S8, I almost stopped looking. Get them flipped in reverse order to what they are now +++ |

Nothing clever, just plain text in the post above by each image link. ;)

Air Suspension
I am looking for a car such as this and it seems very interesting, But I am worried about the air suspension set up. Is anybody aware of a similar swap out of the original OEM his suspension for one like this? Other questions are:
How does this affect value? Is the work invisible inside the car (and boot)? Can it still be controlled through the MMI? Does it handle as well as or better than original OEM kit? If anybody could help me on these points I think it would be worth taking a look! |
