Staggered setup on D2?

Ok, so I've heard that having a staggered setup on our A8's is a bad thing - due to the Q system. Is this actually true? Because I know one person on here running 8.5 fronts with 9.5 rears....can this be done with the tires being the same size on both front and rear?

A staggered set up is perfectly possible. The important thing is to keep the rolling radius of the tyre the same. It should be possible to have 10" at the rear and 8.5" at the front. Using 245/35-20 up front and 285/30-20 at the rear the difference is .07%. Quattro will easily handle 1% difference.

Understeer problems?

I've been thinking about this, and reading the Audipages link referred to, there is more clearance on the rears for bigger tyres, but it also says "Unfortunately, installing wider tires in the rear will aggravate understeer, the last thing an A8/S8 needs."

Under-steer is only an issue in tight bends taken too fast!
There are no bends on the strip! :D
On launch the bias is somewhere like 80 / 20 I believe (standing by to be corrected!).

It also looks so cool.
