Hi All,

My passenger seat runner is loose.

It is only the rear screw which I think is a t40 or t45. I have the right socket/bit to fit, that is not the problem.

The problem is that the bolt is not screwed right down tight and is a little loose, that is to say it will move from side to side, but it will not either tighten down or unscrew.

Before I simply apply wd40 and brute force I wanted to know if there is anything I am missing or should be aware of...?

Is there something under the carpet which holds it in place like some sort of locknut or split pin ?

There's a captive nut under the floor. If you put too much force on the bolt the nut will tear out of its housing so be careful how much you heave on it. I would be inclined to see if it will come out first. The thread may be damaged so it could make it worse forcing it in. If the bolt is damaged then I'm sure our sponsors will have a few available.
