I love everything about this picture.

That Car, its so muscular, alive and beautiful IMO
I want to be the person driving it and I'd be so pleased if I'd taken that photograph. Not at the same time of course :D

When we used to buy new coaches they arrived on a wagon as a bare chassis with engine and wheels. We fitted two large diesel tanks and a Telma retarder. Then we drove them to Duple in Blackpool for a body to be fitted.
I've often driven one sitting on a wooden box.

LOL I've seen this back in the day, did you get fly's stuck in your teeth if you smiled?

Not me, it was gauntlets, crash helmet and a scarf. And prayed for NO rain.
Much different on the return journey in a newly built coach.

What i love about cars of that era is the size of wheels.
Lovely 80cm tall wheels.

On modern cars wheels are so small and because of this they look sick.
