Garage extension in 4 days!

As some of you may know, we moved back down to the East Midlands when I retired a couple of years or so ago. We found a nice old house in a brilliant village, next door but one to a pub (famous for filming the second series of Aufweidesein Pet). What could be better?

Well, the garage was 3cm shorter than a D2 S8!

But, within 4 days, at a fairly reasonable cost, it's now 6" longer and will house the '8 (when I clear out all the junk!).

The solution? Step 1: build a porch-like frame from 6x6" timbers. Step 2: move the door frame and doors forwards (see photos).

I even like the look of it. :D

Nice idea Jim +++

Looks very neat. Did you build it yourself?

No - I had a joiner do it for me, to my design. I’m flat out with decorating at the moment (and a few odd jobs around the village for beer money!).

Must be a bugger getting the car on it's side before you can get it in the garage though...;)

I wondered how long I'd have to wait for a comment like that! +++

Very nicely done. The rest of us were resisting the temptation. +++
