For sale - Audi A6, 2004/04, 3.0 quattro Sport Avant auto

Hi folks

We're looking to downsize my wife's car, purely because we don't need an estate any more. I've written a ridiculously long and detailed advert, for which I apologise to those who prefer brevity over detail! It was written for people who don't know the cars so includes stuff obvious to an Audi owner.

Audi A6 3.0 quattro Sport Avant automatic (tiptronic)

1st March 2004/04 – currently on a private plate which will be removed before sale. Will revert to OY04BXC

Dolphin Grey with Soul Black (dark grey) leather interior

Only 67,000 miles with FSH from Audi and specialist – annual servicing most of its life and 2 yearly brake fluid changes

Owned by us since 2008 (bought from Wimbledon Audi) and only for sale as we don’t need an estate anymore and fancy something smaller

Taxed till end January 2015 (just been renewed) – in £280 per year bracket

MOT is booked for 7th February and will be 13 months (won’t be due till March 2015)

Full inspection service also booked for 1st week in February and anything required will be done

Loads of paperwork including all old MOTs, receipts for everything ever bought for the car, even the old tax discs!

17” 9 spoke alloy wheels, fitted with Continental SportContact 5 tyres – wheels refurbished at time of tyre fitting in September 2012 at 58,336 miles.

Full size matching alloy spare with good tyre

Standard spec is pretty comprehensive:
3 spoke leather steering wheel
Electronic Stability Control & ABS
4x electric windows
Front fog lights
Split folding rear seat with load cover and load restraint net, 12V power point in the boot and 2 in the car
3x 3 point seat belts in the back
4x airbags
Alarm and immobiliser

Options fitted to the car in addition to the standard Sport spec:
Audi Concert II double DIN stereo with tape/radio and in dash 6 CD changer with BOSE speakers
Interior light pack (red LEDs throughout the interior)
Front centre armrest
Full leather interior including sports front seats with electric height and lumbar adjustment
Parking sensors to front AND rear (quite a rare option)
Cruise control
2x Isofix points in the back and passenger airbag deactivation key switch

Hard plastic load liner for the boot – comes up about 10” round the side and rear of the boot to protect the carpet

Car has always been maintained properly and was taken off longlife service the year after we bought it at 4 years old. It has been serviced annually ever since

In the interests of longevity the gearbox was treated to an oil and filter change in 2012 – Audi don’t set a service interval and insist it is ‘sealed for life’. Gearbox is in perfect condition and should not be confused with the multichronic boxes fitted to non-quattro models

Cambelt changed, including water pump, thermostat, all tensioners and rollers in August 2009 at 34,147 miles

Other recent work of note:
All new discs and pads fitted in August 2011 at 51,640 miles
New Bosch S5 battery in July 2012 with 5 year warranty from Euro Car Parts
Climate control regassed June 2013 at 62,154 miles – works perfectly
Supplied with 2 remote key fobs, emergency plastic key and key code card, all manuals in original leather wallet

Genuine Audi Thule aero roof bars available if required

Car is in good order throughout with only the usual age related marks to be expected – some stone chipping to the bonnet and a couple of minor marks to the sides but nothing untoward

Service history:
17/2/04 PDI
22/12/04 11,504 miles
11/1/06 13,498 miles
26/2/07 17,140 miles
9/10/08 28,834 miles
14/8/09 34,147 miles (cambelt)
22/2/10 40,480 miles
10/2/11 48,774 miles
10/2/12 55,736 miles
6/2/13 60,186 miles (brake fluid last done)

Rare car in this spec and condition, and with low mileage - £4,995 o.n.o.

If it ever stops raining I will clean it and get some current pictures up

Cheers Neil - it's been looked after like a £14.5k car which is what it cost us at 4 yrs old! Bit of a shock it's lost as much as it has but considering it was well over £30k new it's cost us less to own for 6 yrs than the first 2 owners lost in 4 yrs!

Got test drives booked in a 2010 S3 Sportback and a 2011 Scirocco R this weekend although I'm hankering after a supercharged S4 :)

We have looked at them in the past when toying with the idea of a change - I prefer the pre-facelift looks, but trying to find one with any level of spec is hard work. Barely any have full leather and we're still at the stage a wipe clean interior is a benefit!

The S3 we're looking at tomorrow is similar money but much higher spec, but is a little older

not sure the vRS came with an all leather option, I had one of the Mk1s when the kids were young, came with seats and carpets that were so light grey they were almost white, wasn't the best for kids TBH:o

Forgot to say it was also serviced on 4/2/14 @ 67,151 miles with Castrol Edge 5W30 and had an air filter as well

There is indeed an all leather option, those that know me will know I am Super Moderator on the most popular Skoda Forum in the UK, which I was involved in setting up more than 10 years ago.

The A6 looks great by the way.

What a great looking car! Ridiculously good value for money - someone is going to be very happy with that, is my guess...
