Fault code 17800 - camshaft position sensor
 

Hi everyone

EML light came on recently and the fault appears to be 17800 listed as 'camshaft position sensor bank 2 - open short to plus, intermitent.

Anyone come across this before. Trying to identify best course of action and whether its the start of something terminal....

Change the sensor & see what it does. Or swap the two over and see if the fault moves.

Implausible is the code to worry about. Open or short is just an electrical failure.

058905161B used on pretty much everything from B5 A4 to D3 A8.
