Adding Cruise and Dis to A3

Following on from my purchase of OBDeleven I am thinking of fitting Cruise control and dis to my wifes A3. Ive done a bit of reading but would like confirmation.

Its a 2009 2.0tdi dsg, it has the washer bottle warning fitted and as its dsg i believe it has the required info screen between the speed and rev counter. So I am hoping its just a case of fitting the stalks and coding and all wiring is presently fitted in the car.

Please can anyone confirm. Thanks

I think on some cars you have to fit a new brake switch for the brake pedal as well. I did this on a Vauxhall Astra a few years ago - the local vauxhall dealer said you couldn't retrofit cruise control and that it was a new car option only, so I bought the stalk, switch and a copy of opcom plus a lead and coded it in and it worked fine +++

Different manufacturer and vintage, but when I retrofitted cruise control to my Ford Focus (now gone) it required a new brake pedal switch and a new clutch switch too being manual.

Plus all the other gubbins, steering wheel controls, wiring, controller box etc. of course.
Being an older design there was no coding though, it was a separate control box with a physical attachment to the throttle body. (Similar in some ways to the PF A8/S8 method which is from the same era.)
