VCDS Cable - genuine HEX+CAN USB

Hi folks

It’s unlikely I’ll be back in a big Audi anytime soon so my VCDS Cable is no longer required.

It’s an unlimited VIN pro cable, imported from the States by me in the days of a slightly better exchange rate.

It’s a very well supported and powerful piece of kit.

An identical one is on eBay at £265 plus postage with 24 hrs remaining on the auction.

Forum price here of £250 inc postage for mine, only gentleman’s caveat is that it’s for your own use and not for resale/profit.

Thanks

:)

I will take it

Cheers!

Didn’t think it’d last long at that price.

I’ll PM you payment details and we can take it from there

:)

Crikey, the one on ebay went for £327, I had no idea that a cable could appreciate in price! I'm almost tempted to get rid of mine now everything is coded how I like and all retrofits done yonks ago.

I personally think they are overpriced but took the opportunity to sell mine whilst prices were still inflated for the V1. It was purchased cheap and I made around £100 profit which virtually paid for a 10 vin V2. The reason I upgraded was because I think the V1 may become unsupported although there is no evidence of this. Besides, I didn't need 'unlimited' VINs (I don't even need 10) but for a virtually straight swap I thought why not.

Came across this on the Ross-Tech site, which implies that it won't support the newer cars. Neil could check this since he has a D5:

Compatibility:

This interface works with all diagnostic-capable VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda models from 1990 through 2015.
It does NOT fully support the following vehicles:

2016+ Audi Q7 (Rest-of-World) Chassis 4M (2017+ North American Region chassis F7)
2016+ Audi A4 B9 (Rest-of-World) chassis 8W (2017+ North American Region chassis F4).
2017+ models (including all MQB-A0 cars such as the SEAT Ibiza KJ)

Yes the V1 will only partially support some models after 2015, some it won't support at all. It was one of the reasons I upgraded too, although I don't have anything 2015+ (yet).

I tend to view VCDS as almost part of the car, like a spare wheel, so stays with it unless there's a good reason not to sell them together. ;)

Correct Sean the D5 requires the Hex-V2 lead +++
