I have 1998 s8 pre face lift ,today the car starts then revés then cuts out i think there is a fault on the imobiliser Light does not go out ,tried to get the car sorted before the Garage closed ,ran out of time they could not find the plug socket to plug in the computer could someone tell me where to find it please

Under the front centre ashtray usually. Pull the little release lever and lift it out.

Take it to a garage that know what they're doing? If they can find the OBD port what chance do they stand of fixing any fault?

Silly question, but did no-one look in the drivers manual, I thought it was shown in there?

My other problem with the car is glove box wont open manual is in there

Either way, why out your pride and joy in the hands of anybody, convenient or not, when they're clearly clueless.

A quick simple search of google would surely have helped them without them ever having to tell you they had no clue.
