Post a photo - FE wheels/Aftermarket & lowered

Getting new coilovers fitted next week on the D2 not sure what ride height to go with! spacers are now fitted which looks really good 20mm back 10mm front, so im interested to see what ride height people are going with daily, i want it dropped a bit but not with wheels tucked in the arches, post up if you have different springs or coilovers setup be great to see what people are using! +++

Which coilovers are you going for? Top of my head, I can only think of mine, Neil's and Ricky's that are lowered, and Lee's wrapped PF on air.

Mine is the perfect height IMO. Its a nice driveable height and looks perfect, although I am pretty careful over rough roads. I've never actually measured how much lower it is tbh - I think probably 30mm front, maybe 20mm rear. I have Bilstein B6 and Intrax springs which were initially too low at the rear so I lifted them up with an aluminium spacer to the height below. Neil's is only lowered at the front as well.

Mine on the 20" FE, Bentleys and the Kahn wheels
Coilovers on front only as couldnt get the 21 x 10.5" 295 Kahn wheels on the rear if I lowered it any

The last pic is with the Kahns on before the coilovers went on +++

The fronts are currently probably just a tad too high, I was aiming to equalise the arch gap, but I have issues where I am driving the car for daily use, with driving over speedbumps and parking near kerbs if I go much lower

Gone with the cheaper KW ST X Coilover kit also need to replace the suspension arm bushes in the upper and lower front suspension arms so doing that as well +++

You’ll do well with the ST units James, they’re made by KW and built to the same spec as the KW V1’s without the inox front struts. Quite a few guys in the USA run them and the reviews are all positive. The only issue people have with them, which is the same as the KW V1’s, is the rears don’t always go as low as people want.

This was when I first had them fitted. The rears are maxed out on the lowest setting approx -30mm,and the fronts down about -35mm.

This was taken about a month afterwards and the fronts settled down another -5mm or so, which is around -40mm overall. The rears didn’t really change. The rears are quite sensitive to road angle; however I’ve noticed that on uneven ground the rear can look +/- 10mm depending on how uneven the surface is.

I'm somewhat confused, The Laird hasn't posted pics of his D2?
