Yep, I've just completed both mine thanks to this thread so thumbs up to Del +++

Watch oil level after bleeding, see pictures below.
When cold it must be just above MIN

Delboy,

When taking off the airbox and inner wheel arch only, would you say you can remove the sound pipe up till the interior bulkhead?

M-A8 26th February 2017 11:53 AM

Yes, I have removed the nearly S shaped piece of sound pipe completely.
On the beginning it seems like its impossible or you will have issues putting it back, but no, as easy to put it back as removing it.

Ever made a picture of how it terminates in the cabin?

M-A8 26th February 2017 12:47 PM

It terminates just before the bulkhead in the wheel arch. It's just a short S shaped piece so another joint/connection is on the wall of interior bulkhead.

I'm pretty sure that's where it terminates from what I remember.

Hehe im doing my best but as my car is LHD I can't really make sense of that location. I must say that elbow looks like a heater core coolant connection... like the one on the left

Whilst waiting for my daughter outside of a newsagent, she returned to tell me 'my car is leaking onto the floor'.

Quick inspection showed green hydraulic fluid coming from behind the fog light.
I chanced my arm and drove the 30 secs home, by which point I need the strength of Thor to turn the wheel, luckily I do!

Anyway having stripped the wheel arch liner, the air box and fog light grill off, there is fluid everywhere.

The reservoir was empty so I topped it up and asked a friend to see if he could see a leak when I started the car up.

He quickly told me to stop as it was spraying out under high pressure.
So it cannot be the usual return pipe issue, correct? It needs to be pump side, any ideas before I stick it into a garage?

Just hoping it isn't pump failure but not sure why it would spray everywhere if it wasn't!

Your pump is probably perfectly fine. I drove on the highway and by the time I shut down the car it was empty for sure. There is probably enough chf-11 to keep the rotor lubed.
The low pressure side of powersreering is very low pressure but the flow is high enough to cause quite a spray.
