Wow. Don't see many of those about now.
My first BX was a red one too but an early pre-facelift (1.6 RS petrol hatchback, A224 OBV, if I remember correctly). That looks like a turbo diesel estate in the photo. At a time when few manufacturers were making diesels those Peugeot/Citroen diesels engines were pretty good. After the red one, I owned a 'DTR' turbo diesel BX (dark grey, hatchback, G499 PRJ) which, with a 0-60 of around 10 seconds, was one of the quickest production diesels in the world at the time, partly due to the BX's relative light weight construction. |

That's a late one! Xantia production started that year, although I know some estates soldiered on till L plate was available as the Xantia estate arrived later.
I'll stick to my hatchback fuelled from the green pump! |
