Subframe Mounts
The subframe has 4 bolts that go through the subframe bushes into what i believe are capitive nut in the chassis.
I'm wondering if the ones which sit under the footwells in the front of the car are accessible from inside the car?! One of mine is spinning so I am unable to tighten the bolt properly |
anyone?!

No idea mate... have you tried taking the carpet out to look for it?
|
Yeah, i'm down to a board of wood
Going to remove that tomorrow and see what is behind it |
Is it on the bulkhead in front of the passenger's feet? Behind that are a batch of relays and power connectors :) Be careful, some big feeds there.

yeah it is and that isnt what i wanted to hear.
I need to get past all of that to check if there is a grommit or a way i can get through to the captive nut |
Andrew,
As you probably know I took out my lump and box with the subframe and I could not see a way to get to the captive nuts. I will check later on Elsawin and EKTA and get back to you. |
Sadly we concur - We know of no way to access the captive nuts that are effectively inside the box section.... Certainly there is no way from inside the cabin, so we can save you some time there....
|
Not what I wanted to hear but thanks anyway! :D ^^
