Fuse Box Location

Hi, I'm struggling to find the fuse for my blower motor.

From my research, it can be in one of two places depending on the model year.

The first location is in the fuse box next to the driver's door (fuse 44). This fuse position is blank in my car.

The second location is "Relay Panel In Front Footwell, Right". However, I can't find this fuse box anywhere in the driver's footwell area. I've removed the panel under the steering wheel but it's not there either. There is a relay panel but it's not the one I need.
The diagram for the fuse box I'm looking for is below:

(it is fuse C)

Does anyone know where I can find this?

Thanks

I think it's under the front passenger carpet, not 100% sure but some locations do swap with lhd to rhd layouts and some fuses and relays stay the same.

yes there are fuses under the passenger footwell including the air compressor relay and a huge 30A Air Suspension fuse +++

Thanks. I've had a further look this afternoon and I don't think the fuse box I mentioned in the first post is the one I want either now. It turns out the diagram I was looking at was for LHD cars. On RHD cars, the position I thought it was in is actually a window regulator fuse.

These are the diagrams I've been looking at:

I searched this file for the word 'blower'. I can't see where else it would be located on my car.

Does anyone know of any other fuse diagrams for the D3 A8? I don't have the original handbook that came with the car. I think it's a 30A (possibly a "thermal fuse" rather than a standard one?) but I'm not sure where to look next!

Thanks

As per my previous post there are some fuses under the front passenger foot area carpet - did you try there??

There is a complete set of PDFs for the d3 in the D3 > Common faults > D3Tech dump section. You need to download the "current flow" item near the top for all of the D3 electrical and wiring diagrams

Thanks, I checked the PDF but it contained the same information as the previous one I was referencing.

I have just checked under the passenger carpet and you were both correct - it's there near the air compressor fuse.

My next problem is that the fuse is far bigger than a standard blade fuse! Ironically, the only stamp on the old fuse was 30A "Littelfuse". I'll do some research online to see where I can find replacements.

I've found them - they're called "Maxi slow-blow" fuses for future reference. I've not come across these before. The "slow-blow" aspect of the fuse must be the cause of my melted wiring!

Just purchased one from ECP for £1.50 - all fitted and working again now :)
