LED Side Lights
As per a much earlier post I converted the sidelights to the twin LED style and I must say it brings the car upto date, I love the look!
Sounds stupid but it really does make a difference. https://files.me.com/waynebailey/yunbw9 https://files.me.com/waynebailey/ys8yv2 |
They look very nice,
I fitted the same (15) LED lights as our illustrious librarian has, they really make a huge difference on the pre facelift model, both aesthetically and light output wise. A huge improvement over the OEM, and reasonably subtle too, & as Mike aka Conan also pointed out, no issues with the DIS regarding bulb failure. |
Perfect, I did this on my old car. But there are some cheap ones knocking around. Do you have a link to yours, and have you thought about doing the numberplate bulbs?

Mine are traditional projector style headlights with "maypole" style LEDs which look almost headlight-like at times
these pics are just with sidelights on lol +++ |
Wow, they look great....so bright!!!
Where can these be purchased? |

You can tell what bulb type you need for your model Here generally the bulbs changed from a bayonet to a push in fitting from '02 onwards |
But 'generally' is the operative word. My 02 S8 and 52 A8 (both with Xenons) both have bayonet fitting side light bulbs (with LEDs!)

Mine are bayonet fitting on an 02 s8 with bixenons. Found that out after i bought the wrong ones.
I have these fitted too, so much better looking and brighter. |
mine are push fit 501's on 1997 so it must be other way round

I opened first link and the size is 31mm long x 22mm wide. Don't order this, as they are too big. There was a mistake somewhere along the way. Can anyone recommend correct bulb for FL 2002 car please?
