Will there be a 2G High Map Update for 2019?
 

As title, the maps are usually out by now. Anyone know if there is one due or was 2018 the last update for 2G High MMI?

Etka still only shows 2018

There seems to be a 2019 version of the RNS-E maps, but I can't find reference to 2G MMI maps for 2019 either. They may be late - it wouldn't be the first time - or may be end of life?

I imagine there's vastly more RNS-E based nav systems in use (esp. as they were still being used in A/S3 and R8 until fairly recently) than 2G MMI which would've probably become end of life in new vehicles with the end of the C6 A6 production?

Might be worth asking the question through a dealer - they ought to be able to get a genuine response from Audi technical in Germany, assuming they can get past the phone fairies employed by Capita for Audi UK!

A 2019 MMI 2G MAP DVD based on the BMW Business database is now being beta tested.:D

Map zoom now shows all streets even at 750 yards (450yds ATM).

The only thing that doesn't work so well is the POI catergories.
For example every gym and leisure centre is shown under Hospitals.
You really need to disable the POI icons of categories you are not interested in on the map or it has too many and runs slow.
There are also no Audi Centres. The POI catergories are set in the navi firmware, but the POIs on the BMW are a little different but popular things like parking, restaurants and shopping centres work fine.
