Self set speed warning?!!

Not sure if the 8's developed a fault but on my 2 hour commute round the m25 this afternoon the speed warning decided to set itself at 50mph. I normally have it set at 100mph, and when I checked it still was. I switched the speed warning off but the persistent bugger still beeped when ever I dropped below and then went above 50mph! Its most annoying! what the hells going on?!!

I think I may have pressed the self check button accidently. Its done it before, but I think I may have pressed the self check button before

think you can set 2? have it on my a6 as well and it's about as useful as a hole in the head!

I use the one as a slap on the wrist in case I stray over 100mph
(I have obviously never done this but I am told its easily done in 4.2! ;) )

but to have this second one set by pressing a totally different button on the speedo cluster is ludicrous! Why the hell isnt it in the menu with the first speed set? ....Maybe so you can set it quickly when going though road works...?

Yes you can set 2 speeds. Instant setting is via the test button and sets the speed at whatever you are doing at that moment.
