I think this is key to the future of internet connected vehicles and the Internet of Things in general. Manufacturers need to have the resources and technology to respond quickly to roll out updates automatically before any vulnerabilities can be exploited.

All that connectivity is the biggest reason that would put me off buying Tesla not that I can afford one anyway. It's not just about hacking but also about privacy.

Well at least the new front end on the red car looks million times better.
