Bluetooth Streaming Option
Hello All,
I decided it was time to add a bit of modern tech to the audio system. I wasn't happy with the OEM solution of handing over large amounts of money ($599 here for the adapter to the $800 AMI) So I thought the best way to go was aftermarket. I bought a bluetooth receiver that uses RCA and simple 12V then installed it in the rear of the car where all the MOST computers hang out. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/p...psfcbk2ctg.jpg The adapter is the Fusion MS BT-100 available on Ebay for around $50 AUD posted, and the Kufatec RCA inputs for my TV module. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps1zvy5bz8.jpg Fitment took 15 mins, I wired the earth to use the factory point on the floor, and the power was retrieved by inserting a pin into the lowest point on the factory fuse box. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/p...psdchbqovy.jpg I then simply connect my phone to it and change the MMI to AV1. Also, the factory Audi Bluetooth for the phone is unaffected. Thought I would share. Mike |
Tidy install and nice looking piece of kit. Thanks for the write up.
A2DP is becoming more and more popular, and leaving some of the older cars behind. I can only see red/white RCA's on the unit - So assume it only outputs Audio? It would really neat if it had a video feed displaying track titles etc too +++ |

The audio is good though, as it allows the navigation and the car screens to continue being used while the audio is playing. The Kufatec AV pics have a yellow RCA, so you can use whatever video feed you like for the AV position. Mike |
Ditto Ian's words, a tidy install indeed +++
If anybody is thinking of doing the same, Amazon UK stocks the identical Bluetooth receiver. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fusion-Marin...dp/B00CUMQU50/ |
I paid $48 aud including delivery.
Which is around 20 pounds. Since fusion is an NZ company, and access to those modules is easy in this hemisphere, I'm happy to buy and ship to the UK if it saves some coin for members. I'd estimate it to be about 30-35gbp landed max. Mike |
Hi MCS,
Very tidy install. Could i ask if the quality of sounds is as good over BT as it is with the CD player or (if you have it) the AMI cable? Also, what gets displayed on the screen if i can ask? Thanks, Oli |

Hi,
Just to check, which option did you go for? - Viseeo Tune2Air WMA3000 or - Fusion MS BT-100 Thanks, Oliver |
Sorry to add confusion, I bought the Tune2Air.

I'd like to give this a try. I have a couple of quick questions:
- I have a 2004 A8 D3 4.0 Diesel. Is this compatible with my car; - Where is the aux input in the boot of the car and how is it wired in. I couldnt see it in your pictures - can the music on my android phone be controlled from the MMI interface on the dashboard. I have a cd/tv button on the centre console, then I select AV from the source option on screen Many thanks |
