MOT on the D3 today, wish me luck

This afternoon the D3 which I'v owned for just short of 3 years goes in for its MOT, I've checked everything as best I can and even had to do a temporary fix to the NS number plate light so hopefully it will be a straight pass.

Its done 8K this last year, but done hardly any miles since it was given a clean bill of health by Poole Audi earlier this year.

You'll be fine.

Best of luck Manny +++ Mind you one or two advisories always is a good start for a "to-do" list!
Is the MoT with an independent or dealer?

MoT was with a local garage, they have done two MoTs now on the D3,

And she has passed on a retest with two advisories of wear on the inner edge of the front tyres. I know they are coming up for replacement anyway having been on the car for more than 2 years.

Did have a failure though, stupid headlight washers again which was the same as last year. Each time they remove a small amount of pipe and re-attach it.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine.++++++

Good luck chap!
Mine failed the MOT This year, 10 years old so 7th MOT.
It was tyres. Grrrr!
They were just legal when I booked it but worn on the edges due to replacing tie rods and tracking by feel.
Sadly one showed a sliver of canvas on the day and it failed and quite rightly.
I was going to do the tyres after the MOT but wanted to make sure nothing more expensive showed up first.

I had the 4 wheel alignment done here and was impressed...
http://www.kandmautocentre.co.uk/wheel-alignment.php
because they used a Hunter Elite which was the best I have seen.
It plugs in the ODB port and does the ride height and steering angle to 0.00˚ before they start, the bits that fit on the wheels are plastic and don't touch (mark) the rims, they hang on the faces of the wheels and the car rolls back and forward and any off centre run-out is accounted for automatically.
It can also do the S curve (tow constant) that our cars have, but to be honest I think they skipped past it. It had instructions on the screen to lift and lower the car and check the tow is constant and showed them to undo the screw on the balljoint and move it up or down.+++
