Are PAX run flats still available?
 

Looking for PAX tyres in 245/690R500A for the D3. The Michelin website says there are no matches. The rim is a metric size 235x500, roughly 9¼ x 19⅔ in old money. Doubt there's a tyre out there that will fit.

The PAX wheels are different on the inside than standard wheels, they have grooves for the tyre bead to sit in and not much of a well as the PAX band sat there. I think the tyres have been discontinued so might be a complete wheel and tyre replacement, unless anyone else knows different?

That's right Dezzy. There's also an internal band that takes the weight when flat plus a special get to cool the tyre. There are used ones on ebay, but nothing new so I guess they are discontinued. :(

Yup.. I think they were discontinued a good while ago. I think the cost put people off and they swapped them for normal wheels when the first tyre replacement came round.
