Needle Sweeps - A8 D3 W12
 

Sorry to be a pain, it may have been answered previous but was wondering whether needle sweeps were possible on a 54 plate D3 W12. Just its a gimmicky thing but little things and all that haha. Cheers Gary :)

Not possible on any D3.

Need to see if I can do it in the a7. The a5 I had as a courtesy car did it.. was moderately cool

Because cool? It serves no real purpose, but still :)

Handy to know that the gauges work, and safer than a live test on the motorway :ROFL: +++

I think, like me, you should focus on useful mods. For example:

- my solar sunroof (I live in the west coast of Scotland, so the car suffers terribly from overheating when parked in the blazing sunshine)
- my rear view camera (which is always crystal clear and doesn't suffer from the cr*p that would be kicked up all over the lens if I lived in a climate where the roads were usually wet)
- the chrome instrument rings (the functionality of which should be obvious)
- the radio clock (which, because I'm so close to the signal transmitter in Germany, never drops the signal)
- red painted calipers (which clearly improve the braking distance significantly)

I hope these examples will be a lesson to you all in making sensible mods to your car that serve a purpose and are not just 'cool'! ;)
