Need Help - Audi A4 2.0TDI 143BHP SE
 

Hi there,

As some of you will know i parted company with my A8 before the christmas (just too expensive to keep and maintain in Ireland what with fuel and road taxes etc.), but want to stay with the brand.

I have been looking for an A4 for the last couple of months and think i have found one. It is here: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...eat4?logcode=p

Does anyone know anything about this garage/ dealer and is anyone in or around the Sheffield area that might be able to see this car in person. Is there a way to get the history of this car, would Audi give up that kind of detail? I need the car to be right as will be travelling from Ireland to collect, would rather not travel all the way to find a dud.

Also they are looking for £10,975 for the car, in your experience is there haggling room with dealers of this sort, or is the price "the price".

I'm about 20 miles away if you need a viewing but wouldn't be able to get till next weekend. I don't know the dealer.

Have you looked in the Audi network, this seems a similar price to their cars and you would get a cast iron warranty.

Hi Sundayrider, thanks for the response and the advice, i thought the Audi network would just be too expensive, but will look again. I'm going to call the dealer and see if i can get some more info.

One word of warning - 'owned by VW group' probably means VW Financial Services, meaning it's a lease car, so only owned by them in the sense that it's their name on logbook, in practice it's been run and maintained by somebody else.

Just checked the Audi network - anything with bluetooth and parking sensors (must have's) in an SE with similiar milage is about 1500-2000 more expensive.

Something from a lease company would not scare me off, provided it has been serviced and maintained.

Does anyone know of an international Audi number to dial to get details of a car or if i called a dealer in the UK would they give me the specifics?

Hello there,

Apparenlty this is listed as a "premium" number therefore cannot dial it from landline or mobile. Would someone on here be able to check this number for the following reg: FD58 DKN?
